freaks (1932)

if you have about an hour of free time i highly recommend watching todd browning's freaks. it's really an amazing film. (that is suprisingly for sympathetic to the "freaks" & lacks most of the exploitation that i had expected.) it explores the notion of what really makes someone a monster, it's interesting to see a large array of people who deviate from society's standards of what is normal & i've always been interested in circus life & physical abnormalities. seriously - watch this movie. you can watch it for free & online right here.

i LOVED the clothes in trainspotting. as usually - it's mainly the guys' that i love, especially spud's. mine please? the girls's clothes...not as much except the sequin dress.

6 reasons mustahce are sexy awesome

jezebel wrote an article on 6 reasons why mustaches are not sexy, i completely disagree (i also think that eugene hutz & jason lee look hot with 'staches). while mustaches aren't my favorite type of facial hair (beards!), some facial hair is always better than no facial hair in my opinion. here's 6 reasons why 'staches are sexy...or at the very least totally awesome:

6. sasha baron cohen as borat

5. friedrich nietzsche
4. salvador dalí

3. dennis hopper in easy rider
2. jesse f. keeler from death from above 1979

1. daniel day lewis as bill the butcher & daniel plainview

there will be bud

two of my favorites (bud + ddl in there will be blood) things combined into one brilliant short, 'there will be be bud'. i cried the first time i watched it because it was that amazing. i can't believe that i didn't post this video on here earlier, sorry.

speaking of amazing this, how amazing was daniel day-lewis in there will be blood? i shouldn't even get myself started on ddl. i can spend hours talking about how amazing he is. he is one of greatest actors (perhaps even THE greatest) of all time. he's so incredibly talented. think about all the roles he's played. every single character is so different & unique & well acted.
