the truth about life love & the cosmos
(museum studio)the images used are from the hubble telescope. it just proves how beautiful our world is. i took astronomy last semester (8 hours, lab & lecture, every monday) & it was one of the most interesting courses i have ever taken. it's such an interesting subject, i feel so enlightened knowing how the universe works. astronomy has completely raised my conciousness & it also helped cement my atheism, which is a subject that i'll save for later because i can talk about it for hours & also completely offend a lot of people.

comet lulin
comet lulin (it looks like a little green apostrophe to observers on earth) is going to be passing by planet earth. unlike other comets, for example halley's comet, that you can see every few decades or so, seeing comet lulin is seriously a once in a life time opportunity because after the end of march or so it will keep on traveling further & further away from us. i can't wait to see it tonight! i'm going to try to watch it until i can't see it anymore. here's a map of where & when you can see it in the night sky:November 15, 2008
carl sagan on god
"Some people think God is an outsized, light-skinned male with a long white beard, sitting on a throne somewhere up there in the sky, busily tallying the fall of every sparrow. Others — for example Baruch Spinoza and Albert Einstein — considered God to be essentially the sum total of the physical laws which describe the universe. I do not know of any compelling evidence for anthropomorphic patriarchs controlling human destiny from some hidden celestial vantage point, but it would be madness to deny the existence of physical laws."- carl sagan's broca's brain 1979
